Duration: 7 days

1 Day : Haridwar to Govindghat

  • Start your journey from Haridwar early in the morning.
  • Drive to Govindghat, a small town that serves as the base for the Valley of Flowers trek. The drive takes approximately 10-12 hours.
  • Overnight stay in a guesthouse or hotel in Govindghat.

2 Day : Govindghat to Ghangaria

  • Begin your trek to Ghangaria after breakfast.
  • The trek is about 13 kilometers long and can take 5-6 hours.
  • Stay overnight in a guesthouse or camp in Ghangaria.

3 Day : Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and back

  • Early morning trek to the Valley of Flowers.
  • Spend the day exploring the valley, admiring the beautiful flowers and landscapes.
  • Return to Ghangaria in the evening.
  • Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

4 Day : Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back

  • Trek to Hemkund Sahib, a sacred Sikh shrine surrounded by a pristine glacial lake.
  • The trek is steep and challenging, covering around 6-7 kilometers.
  • Explore the temple and the serene lake.
  • Return to Ghangaria in the afternoon.
  • Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

5 Day : Ghangaria to Govindghat

  • Trek back to Govindghat.
  • Overnight stay in Govindghat.

6 Day : Govindghat to Joshimath

  • Drive from Govindghat to Joshimath.
  • Joshimath is a larger town with more accommodation options and is a great place to relax after the trek.
  • Overnight stay in Joshimath.

7 Day : Joshimath to Haridwar

  • Drive back to Haridwar, which takes approximately 10-12 hours.
  • Arrive in Haridwar by evening.
